  • 1. What is Unistore?

    Unistore is a free platform for students to conveniently buy or sell second-hand stuff around university. Unistore helps you turn your unwanted things to some extra cash and also finding great deals for almost any kind of products a student could use - from electronics, video games, books to kitchen accessories or bikes.

  • 2. Is Unistore free?

    YES! Unistore is completely free to buy or sell any number of things you want. We don't even take any % from your sales, so if you sell something for £10 you really get £10. Isn't that awesome?

  • 3. How safe is Unistore?

    Very! Unistore is very safe. If you register you'll be asked to confirm your university email and so have been asked every user that registered. Your university email is a unique identifier given by your university to you and only you. So, in case someone brakes the law, that person can be traced. That's why Unistore is such a safe community to trade stuff without any scams or false identities - because all users are verified.

  • 4. What should I do if I got scammed?

  • 5. How do I buy on Unistore?

    Unistore provides a platform for students to easily advertise their products they want to sell. However, the interaction and negotiation between users is solely the responsibilities of the parties involved. Because of this, Unistore cannot offer refunds or get involved in any disputes. We highly recommend doing a face-to-face transaction as that's the safest one. However, if you prefer not to meet, you should use a safe and secure payment method such as cash-on delivery or PayPal. Be aware that money transfers are usually risky as there is no guarantees.

  • 6. How do I sell on Unistore?

    Selling on Unistore is easy peasy. After you registered you can use our website, the Android app or the iOS app to create an ad for you item for free. Here are a few tips that will increase the chances of finding a buyer:
    - Have clear, bright (preferably using natural light) photos of your item. You can upload up to 9 photos so make sure you take all the advantage from this.
    - Awesome title! This is the first thing buyers will read about your product so make sure it's the best & most accurate title you can come with.
    - Write a detailed description for better results. When buyers are hesitant about a product, they usually make their mind by reading the description.

  • 7. How do I search items?

    Finding great deals is super easy with our search system. If you're using the website, you have the search bar on top of the page where you can enter the item you're looking for or any keyword related to it. After you press enter, you will see results which you can filter by condition, university or distance range. If you're using on of the mobile apps, go the main screen and on top right corner you'll see the search icon. That will get you to a filter screen where you can easily search for anything you want. Furthermore, on all platforms you can sort by price or date so you can see the newest deals out there.

  • 8. How do I contact a seller?

    So, after you found the product you were looking for, on the button of the screen you'll have a "Message" button. Click that one and you'll be ready to start negotiating or asking more information. If you're on the website, you can write an introduction message just from the product's page - there is a small "Write a message" form on the bottom of the page.

  • 9. How do I save an item?

    Let's say you find what you were looking for but you're still not decided. In the top right corner of the item view you'll see a small heart. Click that one and you'll add that product to your "Favorites". You can see all the products you marked as favorite in the "Favorites" tab on the website and or in the mobile app.

  • 10. What can I sell?

    Unistore allows almost any kind of product to be sold. However, required by law, the items below are not allowed to be advertised/sold on Unistore:
    - Food
    - Animals
    - Weapons
    - Medicine
    - Anything prohibited by law or that may cause psychological or emotional harm

  • 11. Sold my item. Now what?

    Once you sold you item you should mark it as sold. You should have a button on the bottom of the item's page/screen with "Mark as sold" which will prevent other users to send you offers for that product. Be aware, once you marked a product as sold, you can't take it back.

  • 12. Editing my listing

    To edit your listing, go to item's view and press the edit icon on the top right corner. Then you can change your item and every user will see the new version of your listing.

  • 13. Removing my item

    It's super easy to remove an item. Just go on the top right corner and press the delete icon on the website or, in the mobile app, press the 3-dot icon and select Delete.

  • 14. Why was my listing removed?

    There are many reasons your item could have been removed. Usually it is because you violated our Terms and Conditions regarding the prohibited items to be sold on Unistore. If you think that's not the case contact us at [email protected] .

  • 15. I forgot my password

    Don't worry, everything is fine. Just press the "Forgot your password?" link from the Login page, enter you email and you'll get a link where you can set a new password.

  • 16. Activating my account

    Once you login, in order to make sure you're the student you say you are, you'll need to verify your university email address. The email should be sent immediately so if you don't see it make sure you check other folders on your email such as Clutter or Spam. For any problems regarding activation, drop us an email at [email protected].

  • 17. Deleting my account

    Please don't! We really want you to give us another chance. But, if you're 100% you don't want to continue using Unistore please send us an email at [email protected] and we'll handle it.

  • 18. Can't find my university

    If your university is not yet present on Unistore but you'd like to buy or sell there please drop us a message at [email protected] and we'll add it immediately.
